More Purrs Coming to Orlando Cat Cafe

It’s raining cats and — cats!

The Orlando Cat Café welcomed the SPCA Florida as its new cat adoption partner last month, which means more cats will be available for adoption.

The Cat Cafe will host a grand reopening party to celebrate its new partner in purrs from noon to 6 p.m. June 7 at its location in the Town Center at Cagan Crossings in the Four Corners area. Enjoy cake, raffle prizes and cats, of course. Bring a donation of scoopable litter and/or dry cat food for free entry.

Founded in 1979, SPCA Florida is a non-profit headquartered in Lakeland that helps over 6,000 homeless animals each year. They also operate the McClurg Animal Medical Center, a public veterinary facility that helps 50,000 patients annually.

The cafe has helped find homes for just over 200 cats since opening in 2016. The adoption fee reduced to $100 with the new partnership. (Read our one-year anniversary article on the cat cafe here.)

Clermont Magazine made a visit and enjoyed greeting lots of loving, playful cats. Have a look.
